I’m so excited to be apart of a great Halloween Bash with a TON a awesome and talented bloggers. We have a 110+ great Halloween ideas from costumes, crafts, recipes and even printables!
I wanted to create a super easy project for my craft. I recently made a trip to our local dollar store, it’s called The Mighty Dollar. It’s a local store but they get all kinds of Martha Stewart products for only $1.00 (I know I can’t even believe it, totally hit the jackpot). I always make sure to stock up!! I bought some cupcake wrappers, paper straws and some other cool items.
I tried for two days to figure out what I wanted to do, then a light went off in my head…
CUPCAKE WRAPPER WREATH!!
Getting Started
I rounded up my supplies, a wreath I already had covered in burlap, ribbon and some push pins. Oh and of course the awesome cupcake wrappers I got!
Step 1 – Add Your Ribbon
Pin your ribbon to the top of your wreath. Easy so far right??
This makes it easier to hang after you add your cupcake wrappers.
Step 2- Prep Your Cupcake Wrappers
This step was super easy as well. All I had to do was flip the cupcake wrappers inside out.
Step 3 -Add Your Cupcake Wrappers
I pulled out my “Handy Dandy” push pins and placed one in the middle of my cupcake wrapper. I folded up the sides and gently placed it on the wreath.
Then I started adding the wrappers around the wreath placing them close together. Since the wrappers had words on them “BOO” and “TRICK OR TREAT” I wanted it to show. So I made sure not to place them ALL so close together.
Step 4 – Finishing Touches
Finally I hung my beautiful (and easy) wreath up in the living room. I honesty cannot even believe how EASY this project was an inexpensive! I already had the wreath and ribbon so the only out of pocket was the $2.oo I spent on cupcake wrappers!!
I’m all about decorating for the holidays on a budget, so this wreath was perfect for that. I plan on changing it up for all the holidays!
