Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Party – 2012

We just love a party, especially a holiday party. I’ve been doing a Halloween party for the kids for a couple years now. The kids get to overload on sweets and they decorate some pumpkins. What kid wouldn’t love that, right?!?

Pumpkin Decorating Station

I set up a big craft table with lots of supplies for the kids to decorate their pumpkins (they just needed to bring a small pumpkin). The kids always have a blast decorating their pumpkins. Painting and glitter. Can’t go wrong with that!

I tried to have a big assortment of crafting supplies for the kids to use.

I used egg cartons for the kids to put their paints in.

My oldest was excited to show off his pumpkin decorating skills. I think he did a great job!

He was ready to get started! That pumpkin was "green" with envy.

Of all the kids, he was the most serious. Well, I think it paid off :)

I think all this kids did an spook-tacular job with their pumpkins this year!

Spooky Treats Table

We do a big potluck and all my friends bring a spooky-sweet-treat for the kids (the sweeter the better I say).

My job is cupcakes this year, so I decided to make monster cupcakes! My amazing cupcakes (sarcasm intended) were a hit with the kids. Can you say Pinstrosity?

This cupcake setup didn't last too long. Once the kids made "eye" contact with the cupcakes, they were good as gone!

Does anybody think the monster cupcake on the right looks like the "Cookie Monster?"

Even though they were tasty, I think I made the cupcakes too early and they started to melt. My poor monsters…

The kids just LOVE wearing their cute little costumes and decorating their pumpkins.

Look at these faces, they are ready for Halloween!!

It’s a great tradition my friends and I have started. Not only are the kids able to get together, but the parents are able to spend time together as well.

I am feeling very thankful and blessed. It’s such a great feeling making memories with my family!
