This has been a post, I’ve been so excited to write up. I made these DIY “faux” glass floats last April. After I made them I knew I wanted to incorporate them into my Coastal Christmas Tree this year. They were perfect for a Coastal DIY Christmas Ornament.
I was really debating on making some new colors, maybe some red glass floats. But I decided against it. I thought these colors were perfect. Especially after I got all my other decorations for the tree. Adding a new color would have thrown the whole tree off.
This tree just turned out beautiful, I love all the new ornaments I got this year for the tree. But I love that there are a few custom Coastal DIY Christmas ornaments I made for the tree as well. I just think it really personalizes the tree.
It all started with these!
If you can believe it, these ornaments are made from foam balls. I love the real ones but they are super expensive and I knew if my kids bumped into them or dropped one I would freak out. So, I decided to make some “Faux” glass floats using the foam balls.
Since I already made the full tutorial, all you have to do is head over to the post and see how I made them. You will be surprised for sure.
These are seriously my favorite post I worked on for 2016. If I had to choose one this would be it for sure. Plus they have doubled as a Coastal DIY Christmas Ornament. Win Win!
