Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. Today I’m sharing a DIY Antler Decor project for the house, that I originally made over at the Darice blog.
As you know I love working on projects for the house. Since Spring is here I thought I’d get started on some easy Spring projects for the house. I found some beautiful painted antlers on Pinterest for great inspiration and LOVED them, but I wanted to try to do something a little different and make my own antlers decor. I had a TON of embroidery floss on hand so I just needed to go through my stash and find my perfect color combinations.
Let’s get started!!
DIY ANTLERS DECOR SUPPLIES:
ANTLER DECOR
I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the antlers when I saw them on the Darice website. They just looked so cool!
Pick out some of your favorite colored embroidery floss. I picked out some Spring-y colors and also some coastal colors to match my decor.
Use just a dab of hot glue to get started. Then start wrapping your embroidery floss around the antler.
This is the fun part!! You can get as creative as you want with design and color!
It starts to shape up fast. Add a little more hot glue to the ends once you’re finished with each color. I had both of these done in about 20 minutes.
Just be careful, so that your embroidery floss won’t tangle. It can be a pain to untangle.
See how festive this looks! It can be a perfect Spring project for the house.
I really think this was a cool project to work on. Antler Decor a little different then what I normally do for the house, but I’m so glad I did. It’s nice to get out of your design comfort zone sometimes.
Happy crafting!
Here’s an idea you can do for Christmas as well. It’s easy to change out the colors for any holiday or season!
What colors would you choose for your Antler Decor?
