Hello friends. I hope you’re doing well.. Today I want to share a new project that I made over at the Darice Blog!
It’s officially Summer and we are super excited over here. Summer is my FAVORITE time of year.
One of my favorite things about Summer is pulling out all my pretty Summer dresses. I wanted to make a cute little Summer DIY Purse to go with all my dresses. Perfect for a girls day out, right?! Also if you have a little girl/preteen this would make a great Summer project for them to work on!
So let’s get crafting!
DIY PURSE
Step 1. Gather up your supplies. I could not believe I found this basket, I knew right away it would make the cutest little purse for Summer. I actually plan on getting a couple more, for several styles.
Step 2. Paint the basket white first. I did a total of 2 coats, letting each coat dry 10 minutes.
Step 3. Next let’s add our COLOR!! I used the new DecoArt Periwinkle and Summer Squash, it’s the perfect color for Summer and the look I was going for. Now this step is totally up to you. You can pick out whatever colors your feelin and design it whatever way you want.
You can get as creative as you want!
Step 4. Now let’s add our phrase! I found this beautiful phrase in the Silhouette library.
Cut your saying with your cutting machine, either a Cricut or Silhouette. Use a weeding tool to remove all the excess vinyl from around your phrase, and add it to your basket.
There’s plenty of room to add your phone, keys, sunglasses and lip stick!
Cute right?
Thank you so much for stopping by, I would love for you to share your DIY Purse ideas with me, via my Facebook page!
Love, Courtney
