SO I just found out National Donut Day is June 3rd. So of course I had to make a donut kids craft. Donut crafts are all over the place right now and they are so cute! It’s like a major trend right now.
I really just wanted to make a super easy donut craft kids can do, it would be super fun if you had a donut party! I know MY boys would LOVE a donut party! Heck, I would LOVE a donut party! You know I love a good DIY party!
DONUT CRAFT SUPPLIES NEEDED:
I rounded up my cardstock paper for my donuts. Several browns and some FUN frosting colors!
Let’s get crafting!!
Step 1 – Create Shape of Donut
I was going through my kitchen cabinets and a CD fell out, I instantly thought it looked like the shape of a donut. So I was inspired.
I got started right away, I traced my CD out on a brown piece of cardstock and cut it out.
Step 2 – Make Your Frosting
Next it was time to make my FROSTING!! I pulled some fun and trendy colors for the frosting. I traced out my CD again, than I cut out my frosting look. Super easy so far right?!?!
Step 3 – Add Frosting
Now let’s add our frosting to the donut with a simple glue stick.
Step 4 – Add Your Sprinkles
So I really wanted to add sprinkles to my donut craft, so I thought the scraps would be perfect for that. I made two different kinds of sprinkles and they were so easy to do.
Once again I went around the donut with my glue stick and literally sprinkled my sprinkles on top!
Finishing Touches
Voila!!! I have finally made donuts! I wish making the real ones were this easy.
YUMMY!!!
So as you can see this is a pretty easy craft to make with the kids. It’s Summertime so I’m thinking of fun crafts to keep my boys busy.
We all had a great time making this craft together!
If you’re looking for more Donut Craft ideas, then I found some great ones for ya! I absolutely LOVE this Donut Hat, I seriously want one for myself! I can pair it with this donut bracelet that is simply adorable!
