How to make a DIY Coastal Christmas Wreath

How to make a DIY Coastal Christmas Wreath

Craft Materials

Before starting this project, you’ll need the following materials:

Hello friends, today I’m sharing a Coastal Christmas Wreath!  If you follow my blog then you know I’m ALL about a coastal Christmas.  I put up two trees every year.  One coastal and one traditional.

With this craft I was inspired by this wooden twig wreath I found on Darice.  When I looked at it, I immidialaty thought it looked like coral. What do you think? So I headed to my paint stash and found some beautiful Extreme Sheen Metallic paints to create the looked I wanted.

As you all know I’m apart of the core blogger team for DecoArt.  Every month we have a fun challenge to create a project using a DecoArt product.  This month our challenge was using any of the Metallic Paints.

So let’s get started!

Items needed:

  • DecoArt Extreme Sheen 2oz – Aquamarine
  • DecoArt Extreme Sheen 2oz – Sterling Silver
  • Craft Twinkles 2oz – Crystal
  • Wooden twig wreath
  • Starfish
  • Floral pick
  • Hot glue

This wreath will be a great addition to my coastal tree this year.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest coastal Christmas project!  Every year I try to make a new project and I think this coastal Christmas wreath might be one of my favorites!  What do you think?

I have a couple more new coastal projects I plan on sharing soon!  So stay tuned!

We went to our local Christmas Tree farm and found the most beautiful real tree for the house this year.  We always go the day after Thanksgiving, it’s become a family tradition.  This year it was FREEZING. You can tell in our faces it was pretty cold out.

We were so not dressed for it.  There was ice all over the trees. So we had to grab a tree fast and go (45 minutes fast), but of course I had to snag a family picture first.  Don’t you love it when someone comes up to you and ask you if you want them to take a family picture.  I’m like heck ya, you my new best friend!

Our tree!

Life tip: Don’t be like me and OVER trim the bottom.  I cut WAY too much off before we unwrapped the tree after we got home.  Next year I’ll know better to do that.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
