How to make a DIY Farmhouse Apron

How to make a DIY Farmhouse Apron

Today I’m sharing an easy Farmhouse Apron project you can make in no time! I recently made this apron over at the DecoArt blog using their SoSoft Fabric Paints. This how to craft can be made for fun or even a girls craft night project.  It would be a great night to have all the girls together and make their own aprons, especially if a holiday is coming up.

As you all know I’m apart of the core blogger team for DecoArt.  Every month we have a fun challenge to create a project using a DecoArt product.  This month our challenge was using any of the new 2oz DecoArt SoSoft fabric paint to create this Farmhouse apron.

Let’s get started!

Farmhouse Apron Supplies Needed:

  • Americana Stencils 10×10 – Lemon
  • Value Kraft Stencils 8″x8″ – Farmhouse Kitchen
  • DecoArt SoSoft Fabric Paint – Lamp Black
  • DecoArt SoSoft Fabric Paint – Bright Yellow
  • DecoArt SoSoft Fabric Paint – Cadmium Yellow
  • DecoArt SoSoft Fabric Paint – Olive Green
  • DecoArt SoSoft Fabric Paint – Avocado Green
  • Apron
  • Foam Brush

What I love about this paint, that it’s soft to the touch once it’s added to the fabric and dried. It does NOT dry hard.
