Hey everyone!! Today I’m sharing a laundry room makeover that I have been working on for awhile now. This space is so small that I really wanted to brighten it up with some color! I wanted this room to feel light an airy. I think I accomplished that with this makeover.
I still have some things to do with this room, but I’m pretty close to finishing it up.
When we moved into our home the wall colors were horrible. I couldn’t even stand looking at them. So I knew one of the first thing I had to change was the wall color. DONE!!
THE BEFORE
Then my second was to paint those cabinets. I knew it was a simple enough project and I could have it done within a day. For the cabinets, I used America Decor Satin Enamels paint.
I took the cabinet doors off and painted a total of three coats, letting each coat dry an hour. I didn’t use any special brushes for this project, just a basic paint brush.
You seriously won’t believe how easy it is to do a cabinet makeover!! I plan on doing my bathroom next.
Once the paint has dried, I was able to add the doors back on. I found these cool starfish knobs at Hobby Lobby that went perfect for the coastal feel I am going for in this room.
THE AFTER
Not that it’s the best picture, but the light I found at Pottery Barn kids. It’s the perfect fit for this room.
The countertop was another weekend project that we did and it only costs about $15 to do!! Makes a HUGE difference in that room.
I would LOVE to finish this room by doing a plank ceiling. The whole house has that popcorn ceiling and it drives me crazy. I will keep you updated on that.
To give this cabinet a new look was a great idea and so fast to do!! I’m very satisfied with how it turned out.
