My boys are so excited about the new LEGO NINJAGO Movie!! They have been huge fans of the movies for awhile now so of course I jumped at the opportunity to do a LEGO Craft for the new NINJAGO Movie coming out on September 22nd! I wanted to create something a little different for my project. We decided on making a rock garden using LEGO pieces and other supplies to represent Master Wu’s Character..
I was really lucky and found his Minifigure on Amazon as well as Lloyd’s character. They were the perfect addition to this LEGO NINJAGO Movie inspired craft.
I also wanted this to have a STEAM based feel. Giving them the supplies they needed and seeing what they could create on their own. They did an awesome job and I’m so excited with how it turned out.
MASTER WU
INSTRUCTIONS
Besides the bridge and the rack I was able to find everything at The Dollar Tree for this LEGO NINJAGO Movie craft!
We started out creating our base first. I had the perfect size lego mat, then we built a wall around it using legos.
Next just add a small bag of sand. That sand is not going anywhere since we used that lego mat at the bottom. Believe me I moved this around and no sand anywhere!
Now this step you can let the kids get as creative as they want. We looked up some great rock gardens online for inspiration.
My boys had a lot of fun playing with this after we put it together. Moving Lloyd Master Wu around the rock garden and really using their imagination and having fun. That’s really what I wanted my LEGO craft project to be about. Having them create an environment for their characters and playing.
Seriously, this was so much fun to make and is simple enough that the kids can do a lot of the work themselves!
I love that this opened the door for so much fun, creativity and imagination while also encouraging tons of thinking. They can sit this in their bedroom or playroom and play with it anything. It’s not just a one and done project, this can be long lasting and even change it up from time to time. So now we just see to see this movie next, I know my boys can’t wait to see it in theaters on September 22nd.
