Hello friends, I have been so excited to get this post up on my blog. I wrote this Table Top Dog Theme Christmas Tree post last month on the Darice blog. I was so excited to get the opportunity to work on this post. I have never worked on a Christmas Tree theme like this before, but I was pretty happy with how it turned out. If you follow me, then you know I’m all about my coastal Christmas tree.
I loved the idea of creating a dog theme tree. This is a perfect idea for your home, dog boutique, groomers, doggy daycare, etc. The ideas are limitless to where to put a tree like this. After I found these beautiful ornaments on the Darice site, I knew this was going to be an amazing project to work on.
After I finished my post, I contacted a friend of mine who works at the local humane society and donated all the ornaments and decor in the photo. I’m so happy that these ornaments can go to a great cause.
Let’s get started!!
Dog Theme Christmas Tree Supplies Needed:
- Pre-lite Christmas Tree
- Large Red Pom Pom Garland
- Wood Dog Ornament
- Dog Ornament
- Dog Ornament
- Christmas Dog Decor
- Dog Christmas Tabletop Decor
- Ski Dog Pillows
- Red Buffalo Check Bandana
- Galvanized Bucket
- Scissors
I went with a 4 foot tree, perfect size for a table top tree. Take your tree out of the box and fluff it right up! It came pre-lite so I didn’t have to worry about adding any lights.
I really wanted a make a tree skirt for this tree. While searching for my ornaments I came across this red buffalo bandana that matched the ornaments perfectly. I knew it would make a great tree skirt for this tree. But I had to do a quick DIY project first.
I folded the bandana over and cut two slits in the center.
Not too large, just enough to add the tree steam through.
Now you have a quick DIY tree skit made for our adorable dog tree.
Now the fun part…
DECORATING!! I just filled my tree up with all these amazing dog ornaments. These ornaments are definitely the star of the show. I didn’t want to add too much to distract from them besides the large pom pom garland.
Darice had so many extra special touches to add to the scene like these mini Christmas dog figurines galvanized tin planter.
Of course when I saw these cool dog pillows I had to add them to the scene. How could you not LOVE these pillows!
Miss Sadie had to get in on the Christmas spirit too! Of course she loves Christmas too!
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my Dog Theme Christmas Tree. I love working on Christmas projects, I hope you found a little inspiration as you plan your upcoming Christmas decor.
