I have lived in Florida since I was a little girl and have never decorated with a beach vibe. I’ve always lived within 30 minutes from the beach. This year I decide I was going to change that.
I have three areas in the house that I decorate for all my holidays and seasons. The china cabinet, the front entrance wall and the top of my entertainment center.
China Cabinet
I started off my Summer beach decor by decorating my china cabinet. It’s the first thing I see when I walk in the door (this is my favorite spot to decorate)! The seashell bottle decorations were the first thing I made.
I just love walking into the room and seeing my beautiful beach-inspired china cabinet!
Front Entrance Wall
This is another section in my front room that I love to decorate for any season. My first major projects for this area were the pallet starfish wall art and the seashell picture frames. I think they look great on the wall.
I also made the Mod Podge frame and anchor frame. I added some more blue canning jars to finish off this area.
Entertainment Center
The entrainment center is the last place I decorate. It’s in our back living area where we watch TV, get dinner ready and relax. I love sitting on the couch snuggling with my boys or hubby and looking up at this area. It’s a pretty big space to decorate with.
As you can see the canning jars are a major part of my beach decor through out the house (I am obsessed with them right now). I went antiquing with my friend and snagged some extra lids to fit them.
…canning jars are a major part of my beach decor…I am obsessed with them…
My Mother has sent me most of my canning jars. She always finds them at thrift stores and garage sales for really cheap. Gotta’ love mom!!
I just LOVE the feel of my house right now. It just feels like you’re on the beach. Makes you want to sit back, have a glass of tea and read a Nicholas Sparks book.
