Are you like me and LOVE your wine?! Well today’s simple DIY Wine Stopper is the project for you! I have known for awhile now that I’ve wanted to make these for the house, so I was very excited that I got to make this project for Crafts Unleashed.
When I found these great knobs I knew they would be perfect to create my simple wine stoppers. If you’re not a wine drinker, not a problem. You can add them to decorative bottles or your olive oil bottle. So many possibilities.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY wine stopper:
- Decorative Knobs
- Wine Corks
- Power Drill
- Small Drill Bit
DIY WINE STOPPER
This wine stopper project is seriously one of the fastest I’ve done. As long as you have a drill and bit your ready to get started!! So let’s get started!!
I have a TON of corks that I have saved over the years. But if you haven’t saved any, you can buy packs of wine corks as well.
I pulled out my “trusty” drill for this project. For the bit, I used a small (3/32 or 7/64).
I marked a spot in the center of the cork and drilled away! Don’t go all the way through.
Now it’s time to add your decorative knob!! All you need to do is screw the knob in now. Seriously it’s that simple.
All done!! I had 5 DIY wine cork stoppers made in about ten minutes. It took me longer to decide which knobs to use then to actually make the wine stoppers.
These DIY wine cork stoppers would also make a great housewarming gift or hostess gift for someone. There are SO many knob options out there.
I plan on having a girls craft night soon and making these. I think these would be perfect for everyone to make and have a fun project to take home! I’m sure we’ll have plenty of wine corks!
Have you made any DIY Wine Stoppers before?
Love, Courtney
