I love working on Home Decor Projects for the house, their one of my favorites. Because every project I do, I actually put it in my home. I don’t make anything I won’t put in my home.
I was really excited about making this “faux” DIY ladder from birch for Crafts Unleashed. It really was one of the easiest projects I’ve worked on in a long time.
When I saw the “faux” birch logs I knew they would be perfect for this project. Guess what… they were!! I wanted this mini ladder to be something you can keep up all year long, but would fit in perfectly with any holiday decorating as well.
Once I received all my supplies in the mail, I was ready to get started!
I laid out my “faux” birch wood logs to see what style I wanted to ladder to be.
Then used my “trusty” hot glue gun to help keep the logs in place and make it easier to wrap the rope around it.
Now it’s time to add our rope!!
I feel like you can do any style you want with this part, just make sure you’re consistent for the whole ladder. Tie a knot in the back to keep secure, you can even add a dab of glue if you want.
All finished.. See how simple that was to make.
When you’re finished you’re ready to display!! I of course, wanted a more coastal feel with my setup.
It turned out exactly how I wanted it to, YAY. This DIY birch ladder is great to put on a mantle or lean on a side table. Add a faux concrete DIY vase and you’re on your way to a new, pretty vignette!
I can’t wait to start changing out looks for different occasions. So as you can see you can have this project done in about 10 minutes, now that’s my kind of craft project!
