I’m excited to share this FUN and SUPER easy Toilet Paper Roll Pumpkin Craft I made over at the Darice blog last month! I always love adding touches of each holiday to my kids rooms, so this year I wanted my kids to make a new pumpkin craft.
I’ve seen these toilet paper roll pumpkins before, but I REALLY wanted to make this a fun kids craft using a bandana.
It’s so simple, even a kid can do it and all you need are a couple supplies. Plus, once the kids are finished they can display their pumpkin in their bedroom like we did!
Toilet Paper Roll Pumpkin Supplies:
- Bandana
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Holly Leaves
- Hot Glue
- Glue Gun
- Large Toilet Paper Roll
Step 1 – Lay out Your Bandana
Let’s start off by having the kids place their toilet paper roll in the center of the bandana.
Then tightly pulling over one side and placing the fabric in the center of the toilet paper roll.
Then repeat this process on other side.
Now work your way around the pumpkin, and make sure you tell the kids the pull their fabric tightly.
Quick Tip: Make sure to use the LARGER size toilet paper rolls for this project. It makes the pumpkins look so much fuller and better!
Step 2 – Add Your Stem
Now let’s add the stem of the pumpkin! Since we want our pumpkin stem to be a little bigger, I decided that hot glueing several cinnamon sticks together would make the perfect pumpkin stem. Plus it will smell great!! Bonus!
If you have younger kids working on this project, assistance is required with a hot glue gun.
Now firmly place your sticks inside the center of the pumpkin! We did not need to hot glue it into place.
Step 3 – Add Leaves
Now it’s time to finish this pumpkin by adding some leaves to the stem. Again just add a dab of hot glue to the back of the leaf and place it on the stem!
Now your little one has the perfect pumpkin craft for Fall!
This is a great project to work on with a large group of kids, like a class or a small group of kids for a Fall party.
Just a couple more touches and my boys room will be ready for Fall.
Since this kids project turned out so perfect, I decided to make one for myself as well using the buffalo print bandana. I adore the buffalo print pumpkins, it will fit in perfectly with my Fall decor.
I love the idea of making this a fun family project as well. Each member of the family can pick out a bandana and make their very own personalized pumpkin.
There you have it, a quick and easy (non messy) toilet paper roll pumpkin craft you’re kids can make in no time! As always thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest project! I have lots more Fall crafts I’ll be posting soon.
