Welcome back everyone, happy holidays!
Since the holidays are here, I’m in full force decorating and prepping! I’m especially excited for the holidays this year, because the boys are older and we have so many great plans that we want to check off our holiday to-do list this year. This weekend we’re going ice skating, follow my Instagram to see all the latest behind the scene stuff I do with the family.
But…. With everything going on I wanted to get started a little early on a New Years Eve Project. I teamed up with Duck Tape® again to create these FUN DIY Confetti Poppers for New Years! This perfect DIY kids craft, you only need a couple supplies and they’re made in minutes, my kind of craft with kids.
Let’s get started!
DIY Confetti Popper Supplies Needed:
- Duck Glitter® Crafting Tape – Silver, 1.88 in. x 5 yd.
- Duck Glitter® Crafting Tape – Black, 1.88 in. x 5 yd.
- Duck Glitter® Crafting Tape – Gold, 1.88 in. x 5 yd.
- Duck Glitter® Crafting Tape – Metallic Gold Stars, 1.88 in. x 5 yd.
- Cardboard Tubes
- Balloons Scissors
Getting Started
Step 1 – Cut Ballon
You’ll see how fast it is to make your own DIY Confetti Poppers for New Years! Start out by tying the bottom of the balloon in a knot.
Then cut the balloon in half.
Step 2 – Add Balloon
Wrap the ballon around the bottom of the cardboard tube. That balloon is not going anywhere!
Step 3 – Decorate Poppers
Now let’s DECORATE!
I picked out some fun New Years inspired prints for this project. Glitters and stars, you can’t go wrong with that!
This is where your little ones can get as creative as they want!
The Duck Tape is perfect because no glue is necessary for this craft.
Step 4 – Add Details
You can add some more details if you have shape punches. I had some star punches on hand from my Creative Memories days! I just punched out my shape and I created my very own sticker for this project.
Step 5 – Make Confetti
Of course your gonna need some confetti for these poppers. So let’s make our own!
We’re gonna use Duck Tape for that too! I cut off some strips and folded them in half.
Then I cut mini strips.
Finally cut into small pieces. That’s it!
Finishing Touches
This turned out great, right??!
These poppers will be a fun way to bring in the New Years!
The kids are going to have a blast playing with these DIY Confetti Poppers! Be prepared to have confetti all over your house. My boys had a great time testing them out to make sure they worked properly.
As always, thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest craft. Please let me know if you have any questions about this craft!
