Since it’s Halloween, I wanted to share the monster doors I made.
I’ve seen monsters on doors all over Pinterest and really wanted to do one myself. The only problem was, I already had Halloween decor on my front door.
…only problem was, I already had Halloween decor on my front door.
Then this past Saturday (while getting ready for the kids pumpkin decorating party), I got hit with an idea. Why not have my monsters inside the house? I got right on it!
I already had the supplies I got from the Dollar Tree. That’s the great thing about being a crafter, you always have endless craft supplies!! All you need to make your monsters are:
- Poster boards
- Paper plates
- Painter’s tape
I used different shades of poster boards for the hair and paper plates for the eyes. I knew I couldn’t use paper plates for the mouth, so I decided to stick with painter’s tape (very easy to remove).
My little ones would have destroyed the paper plate mouth (since they could reach it). The painter’s tape worked out perfect!
So now it’s time to introduce the cute couple…

Meet the dashing Mr. Monster Door.
Side Note: If you’re looking for fun Halloween crafts for your child, check out this adorable monster hand and footprint craft. They’ll love it!

And his lovely wife, Mrs. Monster Door.
The kids absolutely LOVED my door monsters!!
It’s such a easy idea and I’m sure you have most of the supplies laying around the house. If not, it’s just a quick trip to the Dollar Tree! Because really, who doesn’t love going there?!?
Enjoy trick-or-treating with your kids this Halloween (I know I will)!!
Love, Courtney
